to lead in-house tooling for the Santa Ana-based company
Selection foreshadows new products planned for 2020
SANTA ANA, Calif. (January 23, 2020) –Noted designer, toolmaker and manufacturing engineer expert, Michael Kuhn, has joined the team at
Fit-Line Global®, as announced today by George Alvarado, the company’s vice president and general manager. The hire will increase Fit-Line’s in-house tool manufacturing expertise and capacity.
Known for his expert molding capabilities and engineered solutions for complex challenges, Kuhn comes to Fit-Line with more than 35 years of tooling and engineering experience, including multiple years as a CNC programmer and designer for famed automotive company West Coast Choppers, a toolmaker for Alliance Spacesystems, LLC, and as senior mold maker at Oakley, Inc.
“Offering a rare blend of expertise in mold making and CNC programming, Kuhn is the ideal person to support and drive Fit-Line’s product goals and innovation at the start of the new decade,” said Alvarado. “We conducted an exhaustive search of expert mold makers and found the one we believe will help meet our strategic goals.”
In his new role, Kuhn will work closely with the engineering group to construct new precision injection molds and fixtures.
